Established forms, made for their next custodian.
Reconstructed pieces begin with established Fae Skin designs. The silhouette and construction are already part of the records; each individual piece is made to order, fitted to its custodian and developed in the materials chosen for it.
The form is known. The particular piece is not.
Established Forms
Prices shown are a baseline for each silhouette. The final investment is determined by the rarity of the textile, the complexity of the detailing, and the requirements of the fit.
THE RECONSTRUCTION PROCESS
SELECT A FORM
Choose an established Fae Skin silhouette.
Each Reconstructed piece begins with a recorded form. You may also reference an existing Fae Skin piece if you would like a previous design remade in a different material or palette.
SELECT THE MATERIALS
The form remains; its materials are yours to determine.
I will suggest fabrics according to your preferred colour, texture and character. We can also discuss alterations to the detailing or construction where appropriate.
MEASURE & MAKE
Once material and requirements are established, the piece is made to your measurements.
Construction, fitting and finishing are carried out in the atelier. Any necessary adjustments are discussed during the process.
ENTERED INTO THE RECORDS
When the piece is complete, its materials, construction and final specifications are recorded.
It is then prepared for its new custodian and leaves the atelier with its record.
