Skins waiting to be worn.

Somewhere in the Crooked City, these pieces have already belonged to another life. Some were recovered from private rooms; others were found in places where their previous history could no longer be established. Marks, repairs and alterations are retained where possible, as they form part of the record.

Upon recovery, each specimen is assigned a number and entered into the records. Its materials, construction, known history and place within the City are documented as part of its provenance.

The record remains with the piece until it passes to its next custodian. At that point, the piece leaves the archive and enters another life.
