Recovered from the western stair of the Tower of Stars, beneath a covered lantern. No accompanying papers found. Garment folded inward and secured with its original lacing.
SHELL
Fragments of discarded saree embroidery reborn through intensive mending; a constellation of bronze, violet, grape and sky, mimicking the way light fails at dusk. Era 1990s-2010s.
LINING
Crisp indigo cotton.
DETAILING
Curved cups, dull rhinestones replaced with new glimmers, rough seams hidden beneath embroidery threads.
STRUCTURE
Hand-constructed bustier silhouette, made to cradle the bust and slightly cinch the waist.
LACING
Coral-toned silk cord through brass grommets.

The Tower of Stars
Lumenfall was recorded among the garments associated with the upper rooms of the Tower of Stars, where the Night Weaver is believed to have worked. Unlike the more elaborate pieces attributed to her, this specimen is composed largely of small embroidered fragments, joined around a single central panel and finished with dark blue binding.
The surviving records suggest that the Weaver rarely discarded a textile once it had become worn or damaged. Fragments were separated from their original garments and kept until a suitable use was found for them. In Lumenfall, pieces of differing colour, pattern, and age have been brought together into a single garment, their edges concealed beneath narrow bands of blue.
The origin of the individual fragments has not been established. Several appear to predate the garment itself, suggesting that Lumenfall was assembled from materials already in the Tower's keeping rather than made from newly acquired cloth.
The name Lumenfall is not found in the original records. It appears in a later inventory, written in an unidentified hand.
