“Wax cooled slowly along the desk’s edge. Ink breathed metal and smoke. She waited while the night fastened itself around her spine.”
STRUCTURE
Shell: Heavyweight bronze-shot landscape brocade repurposed from Japanese silk.
Lining: Plum-toned velor, selected for the sharp, bruised contrast it offers against the weathered green-bronze of the shell.
Detailing: Anchored by a single tassel and three distinct, tarnished bells at the center front. Finished with an olive trim to accentuate the curved hem.
Internal: 12-panel construction reinforced with synthetic whalebone to lift the chest and support the waist; engineered for presence rather than forced shape.
Lacing: Heathered plum shoulder ribbons made from bias cut saree silk. Gold silk cord lacing in the back through brass eyelets.
