Recovered beneath the Wishing Tree at first light. A scattering of pink petals was found caught in the ribbons at the back. No one witnessed the garment being placed there.
SHELL
Soft pink floral jacquard woven with ivory and gold botanical motifs, combined with contrasting ivory satin panels. Era: provisionally dated to the early 2000s.
LINING
Crisp, undyed cotton.
DETAILING
Scalloped pink lace across the shoulders, ivory satin bows, pink trim, a small berry charm at the centre front, and long ribbons trailing from the back.
STRUCTURE
15-panel construction reinforced with synthetic whalebone. The structured panels create a cinched waist and pronounced curve through the hips, with a softly curved hem that elongates the torso.
LACING
Soft pink satin ribbon threaded through reinforced gold-tone eyelets.

The Wishing Garden
The Wishing Garden lies behind the oldest houses in the Crooked City, reached by a narrow path that is not always present in the same place. The garden is enclosed by old stone walls and largely left to grow without formal cultivation. At its centre stands a flowering tree covered in small pink blossoms.
The tree is known throughout the City as the Wishing Tree. Its name appears in records from several generations ago, although no account survives of who first gave it that name. Visitors have long left small objects beneath its branches: ribbons, written notes, coins, flowers, and other personal offerings.
Petalwish was recovered beneath the tree at first light. Its ribbons had gathered a number of fallen petals during the night. No accompanying note or other offering was found with it.
The garment has remained associated with the Wishing Garden since its recovery.
